Attempt At Personal Essential Question

“Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening - and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented.”
-Arnold Palmer

This is a great quote from Arnold Palmer and this is why: Golf is the greatest game ever played. This quote aims directly at Golf, but also at life. In the very first line, Arnold Palmer says, "Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated." This is a direct quote at life itself and that it is simple and easy to understand, but also like a jigsaw puzzle that has many pieces. Arnold Palmer uses a lot of parallels in this quote and he explains that life is like a golf game; sometimes you make birdies (-1) and sometimes you make bogeys (+1). The birdies in life are the good times and experiences with your family and friends. The bogeys in life are unexpected events that come up on a whim and are usually emergencies.
