Act 4 Scene 1

Oberon tells Puck that he will release Titania from the spell because he has seen enough. Oberon orders Puck to change Bottom's head back to its original form and he awakens his queen, who is astonished by the dreams she has had. She tells him about how she loved a donkey. The fairies begin preparing things to celebrate at Theseus' wedding the next day. The next morning Theseus and some others go in the woods hunting. Theseus sees Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius and Helena sleeping on the ground. Lysander tells Theseus about his plan to escape with Hermia but Egeus demands for him to be excecuted. However, Demetrius interupts and states that he no longer has any desire to wed Hermia, now that Helena is the only person he can think about. Theseus is happy and insists that the two reunited couples should marry on the same day that he marries Hippolyta. They all return to Athens, excluding Bottom, who wakes up in the forest and is puzzled by the strange dream he has had.

Act 3 Scene 2

Pluck tells Oberon of how smoothly he had followed the plan of placing he flower juice on the eyelids of the Athenian. Demetrius and Hermia enter the scene and Puck realizes he has made a mistake and put the juice on the eyelids of Lysander.
Lysander has left Hermia for Helena because she was the first person he saw when he woke up. Unable to find her love, Hermia thinks that Demetrius killed Lysander and she questions him. To fix the problem, Puck is sent to search for Demetrius and putting the magic potion on his eyes. Meanwhile, Lysander suddenly loves Helena due to the power of the flower juice. Lysander and Helena begin arguing. Helena thinks he is mocking her because she knows how much he used to love Hermia. Their voices wake Demetrius, who falls in love with Helena at first sight, due to the effect of Oberon’s potion. Hearing what she believes are Demetrius’ phony declarations of love, Helena is infuriated. She thinks that both Lysander and Demetrius are now making fun of her. Then Hermia stumbles upon the three. Not knowing about the secret potion that changes Lysander’s feelings for her, Hermia is in disbelief when he declares he no longer loves her. Helena thinks that Hermia now too is also in on the joke and can’t believe her best friend could be so cruel-hearted. After the large-scale argument finishes, Oberon forces Puck to fix the problem before the men kill each other. Puck tricks both Lysander and Demetrius by taking on both of their voices. After they are both too tired to try and find one another, they fall asleep in exhaustion. When they awake in the morning, the night’s crazy events will seem like a dream except that only Demetrius will be in love with Helena.

Act 3 Scene 1

The actors for the play meet in the woods. They are all convinced that their play will sem so real, that the ladies may be freightened by the contents of it. So they plan on telling the audience that everything is fake and there will not be any real killing or real lions in the play. Puck watches the rehersal and then turns Bottom's head into the head of a donkey. Botttom returns after a temporary break and the actors all flee in terror. Bottom is confused and dumbfounded about this and begins singing to himself. his singing wakes up Titania who fallsin love with Bottom under the spell of the flower juice. Bottom is clueless and Titania asks him to stay in the woods with her. She calls her fairies to help take care of Bottom.

Act 2 Scene 2

Titania falls asleep and Oberon comes beside her. He rubs the juice of the flower on her eyelids and then laughs about how she will fall in love with a monster or something. Meanwhile, Lysander and Hermia are in the forest. They become lost and take a break for a short time. Lysander tries to sex talk Hermia but she tells him to go to sleep a good distance away from her. While they are sleeping, Puck comes and mistakenly puts the flower juice on Lysander instead of Demetrius. Lysander wakes up and falls in love with Helena due to the juice's effect. He searches for Helena. Helena thinks he is mocking her. Hermia wakes up and calls for Lysander but he has already left.

Act 2 Scene 1

Oberon is angry with Titania because she has a changeling boy (a mortal child stolen by fairies), and Oberon wants the boy as a knight of his train. Oberon and Titania meet up and have a quarrel about an Indian boy that she has been spending all of her time with. Titania says she is only with him to serve as a mother for the child, which whom died. Oberon tells Pluck to get a flower known as "love-in-idleness," which makes the person fall in love with the first other person they see when they wake up. Meanwhile, Helena is following Demetrius in the forest. He says he cannot love her, but it makes her want to love him more. Pluck gets the flower and gives it to Oberon, who will place its nectar on the eyelids of Demetrius.

Act 1, Scene 2

Quince and his workmen, Snug, Bottom, Flute, Snout , and Starveling gather in Quince's house. The friends have heard that Theseus is going to get married and they think about producing a play in his honor. Quince, the director, announces who will play which part. Bottom makes himself co-director and wants to create the play his way. Although Quince decides to make him play Pyramus, Bottom mwants to play a Lion as well. In the end, however,Flute is going play Thisby, Snug is going to play the lion, Starveling will act as Thisby's mother, and Snout gets the part as Thisby's father. They all agree to practice and meet up in a forest near athens to rehearse.

Act 1 Scene 1

In Act 1 Scene 1, Lysander and Hermia meet in their own secret spot. They talk about how much they are in love with each other and that they want to get married already. Lysander makes a suggestion that they run away from Egeus, Hermia's father, and get married in his aunt's town. Helena confronts the two of them and asks Hermia how she steals Demetrius heart with such ease. Helena loves Demetrius and she becomes jealous of Hermia. She thinks of a plan to try and sabotage Lysander and Hermia's plan to runaway and get married.
